CoComment
Rudolf recently pointed me to CoComment, an application designed to track and aggregate all the comments you post on other weblogs. The stream of comments is syndicated - making display and sharing possible - and the archives are searchable. It works too; I am now displaying my own recent comments on other sites in my sidebar.
Update: It is very difficult to remember to punch the Cocomment button before publishing a comment. I have missed more than half of the comments I’ve left for this reason.

Oh, very clever! I’ve been looking for this, but have since got into the habit of doing what you suggested many moons ago - let your comments go, and if you want to keep track of anything, post it as a blog post on my own blog. Anyway, must try it out. I wonder if it’ll work on blogger?

Yes, it works well with blogger, but not with the pop-up comment box. In such a case, just open the comment box in a new tab.

Aaron,
could I get an invitation code from you. Can’t sign up without one.

Hi EFL Geek…I don’t have a code to give, nor did anyone give me one. I just entered my email address in the box asking for people interested in cocomment and they sent me an invitation ten minutes later. Please try that.

Hi, yes as you can read here there’s not more the need for an invitation code http://www.cocomment.com/teamblog/?p=43
Just sign in and let us know via our forum or email all those things you like and dislike about it, for real, we are working on making it better so all feedback is welcome.

It did not work but I think I know why. I am going to try again. Sorry to leave a meaningless post on you blog. Oh well, at least I am not selling viagra.

I’m finding cocomment a little disappointing. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and, like you, find it difficult to rememeber to hit the cocomment button before I submit the comment. And then I would like to see any subsequent comment on my cocomment page without having to go back to the original page. But it’s a start I suppose.
Right, must remember to hit cocomment now……..

Thanks Marco! I even got an e-mail telling me that you had commented on my comment! This is the first time this has happened.
PS. Sorry for squatting in your comments box Aaron.
PPS And now I’m confused. Do I have to hit the cocoimment button again before I submiot this comment, or would that be superfluous?

Hey Lesley, mi casa es tu casa.
I think you have to hit the button each time you leave a comment. I forget often; then it’s too late.
