		<description>I absolutely agree with this article that we have plenty of content to teach our students and that it is our jobs to make the content meaningful so that our students will know how to use it.  I often feel overwhelmed by the amount of content that must be taught, however I find that the students seem to retain more of it when it is taught in an active participation type lesson versus a rote memorization lesson.  The demand on students and teachers seems to be intense and in order to have meaningful learning we need to recognize the best methods for truely teaching content and giving it meaning for our students.</description>
