Ineen in EFL
At Blogstreams Sunday evening (GMT19:00), ElderBob kindly pointed us to Ineen, which, like Skype, allows users to make free telephone calls to other users on the internet. It also allows for multiple participant audio conferencing and comes with video conferencing for up to four people. Best of all, it has a recording feature, something that Skype has been desperately lacking.
I’m sitting here drooling at the possibilities for using a tool like Ineen for realtime intercultural communication between my Japanese students, who spend most of their time chatting with one another, and a classroom from abroad. I gotta download this immediately and give it a spin.

Let’s try it out…but then do not know whether it will work at the computer lab because of firewalls and proxy. This seems to be the main problem in doing something from school. Too many technical restrictions and barriers.
