Thanks to Michael Furmanovsky’s hard fought battles at Ryukoku, we have a very nice set-up this semester in the computer rooms, with Mac Powerbooks on U-shaped tables in the middle and PCs lining the fringe of the rooms. Such a set-up facilitates discussion, as students can see each others faces. Furthermore, if I need their undivided attention, I just tell everyone to lower their screens and look at me or the screen upfront - nifty!
