Like the week before, we spent the entire class time dealing with
Manila challenges, mostly template problems.   For some
reason, two of our students had problems with their text overflowing
off the page to the right.  To fix it, we had to change a table width
percentage on the newsitem template.  Another problem was missing
macros on many of the student’s newsItems templates, such as
‘departmentLink’.   Two other difficulties
that we have yet to solve include gigantic spaces
on some of the pages in the Brushed Metal template and unchangable
navigation buttons in the Aqua on White theme that point to the main East Asia Center site rather than to the student’s.   I wonder why these templates come packaged like this? 

*Update:  I fixed the link problem in ‘Aqua on White’.  I
overlooked the <a> tags in the template.  I wonder why my
brain comes packaged like this?  Now on to the brushed metal
problem.
