The Numb Head
Somedays I’m so involved in the tasks and challenges of the day that when I arrive at this space, by head is just numb from the many hours of stimulation. There is so much I could write about, I really don’t know where to begin.
Speaking of brain stimulation, I came across a site on blogdex about an artist under the influence of an entheogenic substance. The changes in his drawings are fascinating, suggesting that chemicals play an important role in shaping the way we perceive reality - of course, you know that. But what some may not realize is that *everything* we ingest, whether it be food, water, air, conversations, reading material, music, etc., has an effect on our feelings, emotions, and perceptions. We tend to only pay attention to gross effects that happen to the physical body, but often overlook the subtle effects on the mind and psyche. Or maybe it’s just me?
