<<Yawn>> Ah…the new year begins.  My month-long hiatus from blogging was much needed.  Being away from the computer (except for email) gave me time to reflect inwardly about this whole process of personal webpublishing and how it has affected me, both personally and professionally.  I have no profound insights to share with the world, only that I’ve revisited how important commitment is to any project we start or relationship we cultivate.  Without it, things stagnate and disease arises.

Blogging aside, my trip to Florida was happy and relaxing.  We gave Aili a chance to spend time with her aunts, uncles, and grandparents.  While I was there, I took a fantastic canoe trip down the Ichetucknee river, strolled around St. Augustine, and had many an outing and dinner party with family.   It’s great to be back at work now and in my element.  I’m looking forward to the new term already.  Check back here for daily thoughts and musings.
